Pocket Full of Rulers Class

I am so excited that you have decided to join me for our Pocketful of Rulers class. I am really looking forward to making this bag with you. I know you’re going to love it as much as I do.
You will need your sewing machine, power cord, and walking foot if you have one. Additionally, bring all your sewing tools that you may (or may not) need.
I would like to give you a little bit of homework before the class begins to make sure we have enough time to finish.
If you are choosing to make your bag from 2 1/2-inch strips, please have all of them sewn together before class begins. Otherwise, you will need yardage to measure the 26 inches by 22 inches. I cut a bit larger prior to quilting and then resized. Assemble all of your OUTSIDE pockets per pattern instructions. For added fun (and if you are able) you can embroider any one of those pockets with your name or monogram. It adds just an extra touch of elegance. Assemble the inside FRONT pockets per instructions. DO NOT CUT OUT the back inside pockets. Go ahead and have your muslin cut to size. If you want, you can even have your binding ready.
I have done this bag with soft and stable for back and front, and with batting for the front and soft and stable for the back. If you decide to use the soft and stable, you will not need the muslin when you quilt. I’ve never bothered with Top Stitch needles for this project, but you will want mono poly thread, coordinating colored thread, pins and CLIPS. Pins are good, but you’ll need the clips to keep from stabbing yourself to death. And bring your rulers! You’ll be so excited when your finished you’ll want to load up your bag
We’ll need the full time to get our bags done, so bring your lunch and drinks. If you have any questions, please text me. My number is 254-338-4628. I’m so looking forward to meeting you.
