- Stacked Squares Technique Sheet from Studio 180 Designs*

- Sewing Machine (in good working order), including power and foot pedal cords
- General Sewing Notions (thread, pre-wound bobbins, pins, seam ripper, machine needles, pencil, marking pens, etc....)
- Rotary Cutter & Cutting mat (18" x 24" is good)
- Gallon and Quart size baggies
- Small Iron and Ironing Pad
- Invisigrip (not required, but highly recommended)*
The Scrappy Seas Ahead pattern will be given out in class.
Fabric Requirements:
- Background - 6 1/2 yards
- Assorted Medium & Dark Prints - 8 yards total
- Backing - 8 1/2 yards
- Binding - 3/4 yard
Please cut the following ahead of class:
Background Fabric:
- (22) 5" x WOF strips, sub-cut (254) 3 1/4" x 5" rectangles. Place in a baggie and label B1.
- (6) 4" x WOF strips, sub-cut (60) 4" squares. Cut squares in half, diagonally, to make (120) triangles. Place in baggie and label B2.
- (4) 3 1/2" x WOF strips. Place in baggie and label B3.
- (5) 3 1/4" x WOF strips, sub-cut (60) 3 1/4" squares. Cut squares in half, diagonally, to make (120) triangles. Place in baggie and label B4.
- (7) 8 1/2" x WOF strips, sub-cut (26) 8 1/2" squares. Place in baggie and label B5.
Asst'd Medium/Dark Fabrics:
- (127) 4 1/2" x 9 1/2" asst'd rectangles. Place in baggie and label P1.
- (30) 4 1/2" asst'd squares. Place in baggie and label P2.
- (60) 5 1/4" asst'd squares, cut in half, diagonally, to make (120) triangles. Place in baggie and label P3.
- (84) 3 1/4" asst'd squares, cut in half, diagonally, to make (168) triangles. Place in baggie and label P4.
- (30) 3 1/2" asst'd squares. Place in baggie and label P5.
- (48) 4 1/2" asst'd squares. Place in baggie and label P6.
